The most underrated superpower!

The way things are done in the world is through a combination of focus, personal connection, self-belief and persistence.

I understand that it's a fairly strong line to start a blog with. A blog, after a long time! Well, learning doesn't come easy. It takes time to learn something worth sharing with the world on the internet. The older generation also gets the Nobel prize for it sometimes. What matters is whether or not we have a story to tell, a lesson to learn, a joke to laugh about and a memory to cherish for whatever forever we have destined for us.

Life is nothing short of a movie, but what took me some time to realise is that I get to decide what actually happens in it! I am the main character!
Well if only, it had been so simple, I would literally be the next Harvey Specter, would've had my own Cessna, no evening would go without me flying it, and would've made significant differences and contributions in  Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for the entire world, built the next best LLM and would've done something so worthwhile that my parents would quit working, but as rightly as our very own Mr Balboa said, "Life ain't all sunshine and rainbows" However, what's important to understand here, is that it is what HE said! Sure we learn from it and implement it, where WE have to.

For your life, YOU get to decide what is said! You can say, you want to achieve something and that might happen! You can ask for something from the universe and get it! What matters the most, is the work that you honestly put in to get it! You can't just say that you want something and that would magically happen, it is painfully extensive to achieve it, it might get lonely, and it might be uncomfortable but isn't that what is the most fun part about it? We get to enjoy heat only after experiencing extreme cold, we truly enjoy happiness only after we have been through and walked away from first experiencing extreme sorrow. We experience light in the first place because we experience darkness and then it's just a matter of some chemicals like dopamine and endorphins that the brain releases to make you believe what you really like, you make a comparison and finally make a choice of what you like more.

Life is all about making these choices and following them, I personally spent a lot of time contemplating so many things while idolizing so many people(some who weren't even worth it), kept others over myself in my own head, gave them the significance and importance, way more than what they called for, and when such significance or importance is served to those people, it rises a sense of expectations, and then when those people fail to meet those expectations(seldom intentionally) you are just left with regrets. Life is too short for regrets. And not to forget, we are writing it ourselves, so we should probably not look back in sorrow once a mistake is committed, and rather be in gratitude(easier said than done). We write our stories, and its subject to change every second. Every decision you make is a reflection of a new chapter that you end up writing, a page turns as every new day unfolds.

It's easy to say that learn from your mistakes, but at least be open to making them in the first place! Making mistakes is a part of the journey and it is what makes us human. We are often too scared to feel too much, usually because of our past experiences, but what if it works out? what if it ends well? what if we get what we want? We often tend to forget the possibility of something going our way in the dilemma of it ending in an even worse position. What is the problem with feeling too much? Isn't that the point of having a human heart? What is the problem with being scared? Doesn't it prove that it holds really high significance in your life? What is the problem in asking for something? How else do you expect it to come to you?

I have learnt it the hard way, that if you keep waiting in hindsight, you will end up losing all the possibilities of things going your way. So instead, ask for it. Life is too short to wait, go grab your opportunities, take that risk, pick your battle, ask for the answers, find your path and go insane! Don't just wait for it to happen. Make the brain work for yourself, enjoy your time, enjoy your personal space, become your best friend, fall in love with yourself, and most definitely with someone else, who helps you grow, learn and achieve all of those things mentioned before.

It's true, the grass is greener on the other side, but at least take the chance of opening your eyes to see it and then take a step to move towards it! Remember, you are the writer of your story, take the action that you think is right, and follow your judgement. It's what makes you human and more importantly, it's what makes you a happy human. Make decisions and just be truly consistent with it. Fall down, fall apart, as much as you can, for as many times as you can, only then you will truly be able to know what not to do. To know what not to do, is equally important, to knowing what to do.

Here are some running, winning and risky moments, mistakes and wins from my life lately;
